About Me
I'm a veteran of the computer industry, with over 10 years of hands-on experience in the field.
Several years ago I worked for Microsoft, where I was involved in testing the predecessor to the Microsoft Windows Operating System you might be using today. Testing the storage components of an Operating System has taught me to be very methodical in my approach to resolving technical issues.
More recently, while working at Bainbridge Technology Solutions, I rekindled my love for Linux and the world of open source software.
I'm a Certified Professional Life Coach (through the International Coach Federation), so I'm able to explain difficult technical concepts in a very accessible manner.
For several years, I volunteered teaching sailing lessons at the UW Sailing Club, and at the Center for Wooden Boats on Lake Union.
I hold an active HAM radio license - KF7KHR.
I'm also an avid hang glider pilot with a couple hundred flights under my belt, and many happy hours high up in the air.
